Revision Tip 4: Mind Maps

This Revision Tip covers my favourite revision method which has successfully seen me through many exams over the years: Mind Maps!

A great revision technique especially for visual learners, with key information represented visually. Colours and images can be used to aid memory.

Here is one example of a Mind Map, prepared for the topic of Types of Data within the GCSE Statistics (Edexcel) syllabus.

You can draw or design a Mind Map as you wish. For example, you may prefer to draw it by hand rather than computer and write each of the subtopics in different colours.

Remember, though, not to waste too much time trying to make your Mind Maps look pretty - their purpose is to be an effective revision tool not a time waster.
