Data Presentation and the Winter Olympics
The 2026 Winter Olympics are currently on and Great Britain are hoping for their first medal. The following chart shows the previous Winter Olympics where Great Britain have won their most medals. Choropleth Maps
Anyone else had enough of the rain this year? Interestingly, the Met Office have mapped the rainfall across the UK in January 2026 comparing it to the average January rainfall over the last 30 years using a choropleth map. Choropleth maps classify regions of a geographical area by shading, with a key showing what each grade of shading represents.
